Stopped into TC's for dinner on the recommendation the staff at Wolf Park during a recent visit. Walked in during dinner time so the place was quite busy but then again It didnt look like there were too many dining options in Battle Ground. We were promptly seated and received very good service! I didn't know what to expect this place is half bar, half restaurant. Nothing too fancy but we were told the food was excellent and we were starving!!! Started things off with fried mushrooms which were fried perfect, not at all greasy, crunchy outside steaming hot inside. For my entree I ordered the pork filet wrapped in bacon with steamed veggies and a salad. It was grilled perfectly, nicely charred and still tender and juicy inside a little bit of smoke flavor from the bacon, It exceeded my expectations! Highly recommended!

Pork tenderloins the size of your head...and they melt in your mouth. 'Nuff said!

I've been here twice and mostly on a Thursday nights cause that's when they do their Prime Rib dinner night!! Not too bad for the price and it comes out to be less than $20/person for the standard size when you order it! Be warn, I've only had it twice and I go with the bigger cut, but the 2nd time I went there, there was a lot of fat on my 2nd time when I ordered the larger cut meat which I didn't get much of meat, while I went there the first time, I got a solid large cut of nothing but PRIME meat!! So it really depends on how the day is going. Also, if you're coming in at a later time, like around 6-8PM, reservation is highly recommended, along with if you're bringing a large group. You won't be disappointed with the other meats that they have there! It's kind of cool cause you have a bar on one side of the section and a dinner section on the other side of this building. It reminds me of the old restaurants that I used to go a lot when I was a kid, where everyone who went there remembers you and have that whole family or comfort feeling to it! I've always gotten their fried zucchini and it's just perfect. Not a lot of the breading, it's evenly coated, and not too saturated in oil!! I recommend this place for anyone who is going to school at Purdue University! It is definitely a locals only type of place, but they have a good service and its a great place!!

From the outside, this little bar doesn't really look like a lot. When we drove up, we weren't even sure if it was open, or which door to use, but we pressed on anyway and I am glad we did. This place looks just like any small town restaurant. Its a little dark, there are beer signs everywhere and the place is full of locals. Everyone was nice though and we were greeted right away. The menu had a pretty good spread and the prices were great. Burgers were about $2.50 and my awesome chicken salad sandwich was $3.50 I think. Fries or chips do not come with the meal so you will pay extra for it, but they won't tell you that when they take your order. The buffalo chips are awesome though, so spend the couple extra bucks and get them. When we were leaving the server offered us all free refills in to-go cups for our sodas and since its a small place, there was no sitting around for the bill. For three of us to have a sandwich, a side and a soda was 27$. Not bad at all. The onion rings were the most expensive thing we ordered too at 3.99 and totally worth it!

Amazing food and amazing service. Made the reservation for 10 at 6:30 pm on Thursday's prime rib night. Table was actually ready early. We arrived at different times and took up the table for far too long but the waitress was still nice and accommodating. (Of course, we made sure to tip her well) The food was excellent. The "special potato" was pretty tasty if you like deep fried potato wrapped cheese balls. You should go here instead of a chain restaurant for sure!!!!

Great Prime Rib dinner for Valentines Day. Reservations a must. Great service and definitely will go back again.

Great place. Fillet was large, tender and prepared to perfection. We drove 60 miles to eat here and will definitely do it again. Very casual dining. Great steak. Affordable. What's not to like?

I happened on this place totally by chance. I was lost and cruising the Indiana countryside on a trip back from Chicago. I hit this little country restaurant and bar about 4 PM on a weekday, with already 30 or 40 cars in the parking lot. More out of curiosity than hunger or thirst, I stopped in to see what the fuss was about. Before I knew it, I was watching these gargantuan meals come out of the kitchen from my barstool perch: huge steaks, massive cheeseburgers, even massive salads, accompanied by a LOT of smiles when the plates were laid down. I ordered a fried pork tenderloin sandwich, an Indiana state dish if there ever was one. What came out was a tenderloin the size of my plate (see photo). And my plate was a full dinner plate, which was completely covered by the Paul Bunyan-esque sandwich. Now that I'm reading the other reviews of TC's, it's clear that all their food is oversized, well-prepared and relatively inexpensive. By the time I left at 530, the place was jammed up, completely packed, and loaded with laughter and good conversation. I'm going back to this little gem of a throwback Indiana pub and restaurant on my next trip to Chicago, and I'll make sure to order a steak or a cheeseburger, which looked good, as did everything else. And Craig the burly bartender will remember me, as he was duly impressed that I ate every single morsel of my Andre the Giant Tenderloin. And a small plate of shrooms.

Great steaks and fried fish in the middle of nowhere. If you don't have a reservation on a weekend, good luck. This tiny restaurant is packed with locals who have kept this secret to themselves for years, and they're not eager to let you in on it. But for less than $20 you can get a large Porterhouse or NY Strip steak as tender as any you'd find downtown, along with basic sides of salad, veggies and potatoes. The whole fried catfish are also worth ordering, tender and well seasoned fish that falls away from the bone, eating it is easier than you might think. Worth a trip, just don't tell anyone else about them.

I would say it's one of those hidden secrets. But the wait was 30-45 minutes on a Friday night. Luckily we had made a reservation (which I suggest). The fillet didn't disappoint. I'll definitely stop by again.

Used to go and get grilled cheese when I was like 6. Now that I'm 21 I go and get a drink every once in a while and the food is great. Awesome small town bar and restaurant that won't ever change to much I hope!

AMONG MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS STATEWIDE T.C.'s is among my favorite restaurants in the country and at the very top in Indiana. Sure the parking lot is gravel and the building is kind of a dive, but it's comfortable... and those things just add to the experience of the GREAT food and GREAT service. If you're hungry for prime rib, quality steak, a delicious pork chop... T.C.'s is worth finding. Nestled in historic Battleground just north of Lafayette, T.C.'s offers great ribs and sandwiches too. They have a full bar and charge reasonable prices. Ask around, everybody in the area LOVES T.C.'s and they can all give you directions, so you can get there before the crowd.

I love this place!! When I go, it is usually on Wednesdays for lunch when it opens. My husband and I would go and eat lunch with his mom before she retired. The food is great and cheap. I absolutely love the chicken and noodle specials on Wednesdays (sometimes Beef and Noodles). They have good cheese sticks and grilled cheese. There really is not a lot I have tried considering I usually go for the noodles :) My husband really likes the New York Strip. It is usually large and he says it tastes excellent -- best steak he's had. The waitresses are great, friendly, and hilarious. I definitely plan on returning as often as I can and maybe trying something besides the noodles.

Amazing food. Great staff. Fun regular patrons. Definitely out-of-the-way, but worth the hunt. I had a double cheeseburger with bacon that was as big as my head. And a basket Full of hot onion rings that would rival any out there. From what I could see, the steaks and sides are absolutely amazing and homemade. Definitely need a reservation after five.

This is a fantastic restaurant hidden in Battleground, IN. I had a Ribeye Steak which was beautifully seasoned and perfectly medium rare. The price was really reasonable and the service from the bartender was perfect. If you need to "be seen" at the fanciest place in town, this is not the place for you. If you want amazing food, great service for a very fair price, do you yourself a favor and stop by TC's. PS-You will want to make a reservation.

I was in the area and found this place on Yelp. Excellent food and service. Old school dive, so if you like fancy this isn't the place. If you like great food try it out.
